iTunes helps you add digital audio and video files on your computer directly to your iTunes library. You can add audio files that are in AAC, MP3, WAV, AIFF, Apple Lossless, or Audible.com (.aa) format. You can also add video content in QuickTime or MPEG-4 format to iTunes. To learn how to add these files to iTunes follow the steps below.

1. Open iTunes
2. From the File menu, choose one of the following choices:
   • Mac
     • Add to Library
   • Windows
     • Add File to Library
     • Add Folder to Library
3. Navigate to and select the file or folder that you want to add

Follow these steps to burn an audio CD using iTunes:

1. Insert an audio CD.
2. Make sure the checkbox next to the names of the songs (tracks) that you want to include on your disc is checked and click Import. Repeat this step until you've imported all the songs you want to save on the disc.
3. From the File menu, choose New Playlist.
4. Type a name for the playlist and press Return.
5. Click the Library icon in the Source list.
6. Drag the songs you want to include on the audio CD to the new playlist.
7. In the playlist, drag the songs so they are ordered according to how you want to hear them when they're played back. The approximate total time of the songs in the list is displayed at the bottom of the window. (It does not include the Preference setting for the amount of silence between songs.) Most discs can hold a maximum of 74 minutes of music.
8. Click Burn CD.
9. Insert a blank CD-R disc.
10. Click Burn CD again.

It takes several minutes to save, or "burn" the songs to the disc.
